DISCOUNT DEADLINESOur affordable registration rates will increase several times throughout our approximately-7-month registration period.  Housing costs will remain unchanged.

“Extreme Early Bird” pricing is in effect at the end of October 2017, and valid through January 11, 2018.

“Early Bird” pricing, 7% higher, is in effect January 12, and valid through March 8, 2018.

“Advance”pricing, again 6% higher, is in effect March 9, 2018, and valid through April 25, 2018.

“Final” pricing, again 10% higher, is in effect April 26, 2018 and valid through conference opening on May 19, 2018.

PAYMENTPayment for apartments, if booked, is not due until Apr. 26, but payment for other costs is due upon registrationPayment via check may be mailed when online registration is done, else payment (but with 3% added fee) via credit card or a Paypal account may be made during online registration.  From Apr. 26 onward, housing costs should be paid immediately along with everything else.

You will have the OPTION during our online registration to reserve nearby walkable campus apartments (if you do not live close by)….  or else you may of course arrange your own off-campus lodging.  [We will later add to our Travel 2018 page by posting examples of some Tripadvisor 4-out-of-5-star-reviewed hotels 2 to 5.5 miles away, that may be of possible interest.  There would likely be 2 of them which for 2018 would have a McKimmon Center shuttle available for certain time-ranges.]

APARTMENTS:  WHAT YOU GET.  You get a private locking bedroom with a “full” (54X74) bed in a 3 or 4 bedroom apartment with 2 bathrooms, kitchen with appliances, dining table, living room, washer/dryer and a thermostat for setting temperature targets or suppressing the air conditioning system.  Bedding, blanket, towel, washcloth, soap/shampoo/conditioner and a cup are provided for each person.  There is a 24-hour service desk that handles the apartment complex.

APARTMENT-SHARING.  Different P-POD registrants may mutually choose to share an apartment, or else we can randomly assign other gender-compatible (as defined by you) persons to share your apartment.

APARTMENT COSTS (which remain the same, now through the conference).  HOUSING CHARGES WILL BE DUE TO BE PAID BY APRIL 26, 2018, UNLIKE OTHER REGISTRATION CHARGES WHICH ARE DUE TO BE PAID VIA CHECK OR CREDIT CARD OR PAYPAL WHEN YOU REGISTER.  THOSE REGISTERING AFTER APR. 26 SHOULD PAY EVERYTHING WHEN REGISTERING.

APARTMENT NIGHTS AVAILABLE.  By default, Sat. + Sun. nights would be booked, but you may choose to add Fri. night or Mon. night during registration.  Any other variations of dates must be arranged by contacting us.

APARTMENT PARKING, FREE WITH EXCEPTIONS.  If you’ll come by car, please note this:
–Friday, the day BEFORE P-POD, parking at the housing site BEFORE 5 pm is $10.
–FREE parking is provided at the housing site Friday 5 pm through Monday 7 am, and at P-POD (McKimmon Center) ALWAYS.
–You may move your car to P-POD (McKimmon Center) before 7 am Monday (LAST P-POD day), otherwise housing site parking that day 7 am – 5 pm is $10.

So, during registration you may reserve and pay for Fri. and/or Mon. housing site parking passes @ $10/day.

APARTMENT LOCATION.  Wolf Village Apartments, 2730 Wolf Village Way, Raleigh NC  27607, just off the corner of Western Boulevard and Gorman St.  Descriptive website:  https://housing.dasa.ncsu.edu/find-a-community/apartment-options/wolf-village-apartments/.

ON-SITE MEALS:  After the optional first-meal-upon-arrival, they are included with registration.  All will be vegan natural foods without using wheat (either without added oil or with no-added-oil options), and breakfasts will consist of simple basic foods.  Following the Sunday dinner, a reception and social activity will continue on-site later into the evening.  The Monday Farewell Luncheon will be served from 12:40 to 2:40 pm.  A registrant may add $18 to registration rates, for an optional Saturday arrival-meal:  either 11:45 – 1:00 pm lunch for “full” registrants and for “short” registrants skipping Monday….  or else 5:15 – 6:20 pm dinner for “short” registrants skipping Saturday afternoon.

Most of our 2018 luncheons and dinners will be prepared by the Bruce Kaplan Company.  At P-POD 2016, when our Saturday luncheon caterer canceled two days before the conference, we engaged them on last-minute notice and their luncheon was likely the most highly praised meal in P-POD history.

REGISTERING MORE THAN ONE PERSON:  You may register several people together through our online registration program.  Certainly, as many as 4 have been registered together successfully.

P-POD assumes it has permission to utilize, for promotional and educational purposes, photographic images of the conference proceeedings and incidental audience presence, unless prior written notification is received from individual attendees that such permission is withheld with regard to them.

CANCELLATION POLICY:
For registrations canceled 45 days or more prior to the conference, a full refund minus $45 will be issued, OR the registrant may apply the total amounts paid toward any future P-POD conference.

For registrations canceled less than 45 days but more than 8 days prior to the conference, a refund of 1/3rd of the total amounts paid will be issued, OR 2/3rds of the total paid may be applied toward any future P-POD conference.

For registrations canceled 8 days or less prior to the conference, P-POD is unable to offer a refund or payment toward a future conference.
